DESCRIPTION
Finished in factory Pure Grey, this 2017 Volkswagen Transporter T6 is a superbly built campervan that combines aggressive swamper styling with a high quality, thoughtfully designed camper conversion. Starting life as a Kombi, it benefits from factory cut window openings and a tailgate with heated OEM rear window, perfectly matched to the Transporter HQ Safari windows.
Powered by the ever-popular 2.0 TDI engine and paired with the desirable 5-speed manual gearbox, this T6 has covered approximately 84,000 miles and has benefitted from strong maintenance. It has recently been serviced using genuine Volkswagen parts, while the cambelt, water pump and auxiliary belt have also been replaced. The previous MOT oil leak advisory has been repaired with invoices to support the work, while the clutch and turbo were replaced prior to the previous owner’s tenure. It will also be supplied with 12 months MOT for added peace of mind.
The camper conversion has been completed to a very high standard and offers excellent usability. Designed as a 4 berth camper, it features a Westdubs pop-top fitted in December, complete with anthracite carpet, upgraded black heavy duty Sauleda Scenic blackout canvas, a full-width bed on gas struts and trimmed frames for a quality finish.
Inside, the van has a premium feel throughout. The rear is fitted with a RIB 3/4 bed complete with the Kiravans safety frame chassis brace, upholstered to perfectly match the front seats in genuine VW tartan. Up front, it has been converted to single seats with genuine armrests and lumbar support, with all seats professionally re-upholstered using genuine VW tartan. The front seats have also benefitted from reshaped foams and headrests, giving the cabin a smart and cohesive finish.
A major highlight of this camper is its impressive electrical and utility setup. It features a Clayton Power LPS 2 lithium system with both 12V and 230V capability, complete with Clayton remote, together with a Clayton 600W DC-DC Supercharger. There is also an AUXBEAM RGB smart control panel and fuse board, stealth electric hookup and an Autoterm 2k diesel heater, making this a van that is properly equipped for weekends away or longer trips.
The kitchen has also been very cleverly designed and is finished in Moreland lightweight graphite grey laminated ply. Custom CNC cut to maximise both storage and practicality, it includes a pop-up worktop cupboard with lift-up internal shelf, a Dometic FO211GT grill and oven, Dometic 9222 two-burner hob and sink, and an Alpicool CRX-50 black fridge.
Externally, this T6 has exactly the right stance, sitting on Fuel Zephyr alloy wheels with brand new BF Goodrich KO2 tyres. It also benefits from a full Swamper ABS trim kit including lower tailgate trim, number plate recess trim, quarter panel vents, arch trims, sill trims, bonnet trim and B-pillar trims. Vanshades fitted to the safari windows and tailgate complete the look.
This is a very well specified and beautifully presented Transporter camper that stands out thanks to its quality conversion, premium interior and impressive off-grid capability. A fantastic looking T6 that is ready to be enjoyed by its next owner.
