Introduced at the 1963 Geneva Motor Show and production starting in 1963, the 230 SL was renowned for its timeless style, beautiful styling, luxury, and performance that made it one of the worlds most well-rounded two seat grand tourers. With its fantastic detachable hard top design, these cars were referred to as Pagodas.
